Enrolling your child is an exciting step and our team are here to make the process as smooth as possible.
So, keeping this in mind, we’ve put together some helpful tips to guide you through completing your enrolment form on OWNA.
Some of our helpful tips are:
Plan Before You Start
- Set aside quiet time to fill it out the form without any interruptions.
- Gather all documents first (birth certificate, immunisation record, health plans, CRNs).
Use a computer or tablet if you can
- It’s easier to see all the fields and upload documents.
- The form will load more smoothly, with all sections functioning properly and without crashing
Check Your Centrelink Details First
- Make sure your Centrelink account is up to date.
- Ensure both parent and child CRNs are correct.
- Know who the “claiming” parent is, this is the parent who is linked to the CCS.
Double Check Your CRN Numbers
Here’s what to remember:
- Your CRN and your child’s CRN are different.
- The parent/guardian CRN (linked to the Centrelink account) goes into the parent section.
- The child’s CRN must be entered in the child’s section.
Entering these incorrectly can delay subsidy approvals, so please take a moment to double-check.
Upload Supporting Documents
When uploading documents (like birth certificates, immunisation history, or any custody-related information), please ensure:
- They are clear and legible
- The full document is visible
- File types like PDF or JPEG work best
This helps our team to process your child’s enrolment without delay.
Include Emergency Contacts
Be sure to list at least two emergency contacts, including people authorised to collect your child if needed. This is important for your child’s safety and helps our team to know who we can reach if we can’t get in touch with you.
Carefully Review Before Submitting
Once the enrolment form is submitted via OWNA, it is important to note that you will not be edit or make changes to it directly.
If you realise you’ve made an error or left something out, this can be amended during the enrolment process by a member of our team.
Check for Confirmation
- Make sure you receive an email confirming submission, double check all folders – including junk.
- If you don’t receive an email confirmation from OWNA, please contact our team for clarification and assistance.
By following these simple steps, you’ll help us get everything ready for your child’s smooth transition into care. If you have any questions or need assistance at any point, our friendly team is always here to support you. We’re excited to welcome you and your family to Bright Steps Academy!
